A quick update on player synchronization. I didn't have much time the last half year so this video comes pretty late. Now I'm back into development and you may expect more updates soon! Tutorials on how to set up a server and test vaultmp yourself are also on the way.
Q: Can you use mods?
A: Yes, you will be able to use Fallout mods in multiplayer. Furthermore vaultmp uses the PAWN script engine to enable server side scripting.
Q: What about Fallout: New Vegas?
A: vaultmp will be compatible with both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Q: VATS...? Missions...?
A: ...will be disabled in multiplayer. We will try to implement quests when the core functions like synchronization are stable.

This project is not dead. I will continue working on it when I have the time. At the moment I have to take my A-level exams and due to other circumstances regarding my private life I don't have the energy to effectively work on vaultmp right now. For those interested, I set up a wiki page with some instructions on how to compile vaultmp: http://code.google.com/p/vaultmp/wiki/CompilingVaultMP
You can also find a pre-compiled build of vaultmp revision 77 (which is the latest) in the downloads section. If you don't know yet, there is a YouTube video out there.
Stay tuned for more in the next months...
